Just The Recycling Centre Today…

 First of all, I’d like to thank all you lovely people who sent your compliments on my haircut. Both Nix and I prefer it this length but it’s not always easy because I can’t stand for very long so we have to do whatever is quickest. I do like it longer for the compliments I get but actually I prefer it when it’s shorter because it feels much nicer. 

Thank you also to all the friends who offered their suggestions as to how I might be groomed in the future. Nix thinks that Karen’s suggestion was the best and indeed it is how she used to groom her last Beardie Billy. However, there is no way in a million years anyone is going to be flipping me over onto my side to do one side and then flipping me over to do the other side. I’d like to see one of you come and try 🤣

In all seriousness, I think we have to remember that I do have a few things wrong with me. As you know, I have a bypass from my kidney to my bladder and I have a port on my side which is an area where they put the needle in to flush the bypass through. We have to be very careful that it doesn’t get knocked. I also of course am arthritic and my back legs now are very weak. Some of you may not know that I also have no ball joint in one of my hips. My previous owner ran over my leg with his car and the ball joint was removed because it couldn’t be repaired. I’ve managed very well until recently, but it’s probably why my back end is a bit wobbly. So Nix is going to try her best to keep me groomed so that I don’t have to have it cut again but if she can’t do it then I’m afraid it may have to come off next time so you better prepare yourselves. 

We’ve had a quiet day today, nothing to do apart from a visit to the recycling centre to dump a load of rubbish plus a walk into town with a stop off at Ginger and Dodds for a coffee and a cake with sultanas of which I didn’t get any of…obviously. Unfortunately it was the only one she liked 😔

Thank you to lovely Judith for a fab Christmas tea towel and a hanging thingy with my name on. Nix is going to put it on the Christmas tree, the hanging thingy that is, not the tea towel 🙂
