Girlie Afternoon At Kay’s



 Do you know what my favourite time in church is? It’s when the service has ended and everyone’s left and Nix is just doing what she has to do and a couple of the ladies always come and sit with me to keep me company until Nix comes back. No one asks them to, they just do it because they like me 🙂




This afternoon as planned, we have been round to Kay‘s for a girly afternoon. I went to sleep, it was all women, about 10 of them. There was lots of food which I knew nothing about because I was asleep but I woke up just in time to see it all disappearing. Nix did save me a little bit of smoked salmon though 😋 We were planning to to walk home but decided to drive as it was so cold and foggy. Nix was completely legal of course but she had drunk one Bucks Fizz and we all know that she’s never very good after a drink. Thankfully quite a few hours had past and anyway, Kay only lives just round the corner and we got home quite safely. 



Tomorrow we have a free day, but I am running out of poo bags so we might take a drive over to Hove if the pet shop is open and then go for a walk in Hove Park. We won’t go though if it’s still foggy because Nix doesn’t like driving in the fog. When we were driving over to Kay‘s, we went past the footbridge and you couldn’t even see the town on other side of it, it was so foggy. 



Today when we were home things were quite funny. Nix’s energy company were offering free electricity for 12 hours today. Typically, we were at church all morning and then at Kay’s most of the afternoon. When we were at home, Nix had the washing machine on, the dishwasher on, she was charging up anything that could be charged and  cooked enough mince to last me a week and made herself lots of cups of tea… 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
