Brooklands Park Today 🙂



 Gosh it’s quiet isn’t it, Nix and I have just been lazing around all day. We did go to the park today and although the back of the car is really really comfortable now, I’m not so keen on getting in and out of it. I think I’m beginning to prefer just going for a walk round by where we live so I think we probably won’t go anywhere in the car now except to Church on a Sunday and the odd special walk. Nix says that I can stay at home on a Tuesday morning communion because it’s only half an hour and I could be asleep at home. It’s a shame really after she put all that vet bed in the back of the car and it is very, very comfortable.




My new bed is arriving today and also a new coat for Nix. She got a Marks and Spencer gift voucher and so she bought the coat in the sale. Thanks to Nix’s friends Yvonne and George for making her a very happy lady. Thank you also to Max and Jeanette for the Sainsbury’s voucher. I was planning for more turkey mince and some treats but Nix has her eye on a casserole dish…to cook my turkey mince so it’s a win win for moi 🙂





It was very muddy today at the park, Nix is all paranoid about her new rug. She usually folds it back before we go in but she forgot today and I walked my muddy feet all over it. No worries though, I’m sure it will all hoover up when it dries.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
