Beth Came To Visit With Maltesers 🙂

 


We’ve had a very nice day today. The sun has been shining but it’s still been very cold. I wore my knitted coat this morning as it was a bit icy on the boardwalk but this afternoon I didn’t need it because the sun was quite warm. 



Beth came to visit to get her hair done by Nix. Nix and Beth have been friends for over thirty years so it’s always nice to see her. She brought a massive box of Maltesers for Nix of which I shall see none but Nix did get me some treats of my own. They are used mainly at corners when I refuse to move forward…Nix is such a pushover 😋



It’s the church’s Christmas fair tomorrow and it’s going to rain all day with 58mph winds. Good job it’s mainly indoors but not sure how many people will want to come out. There is going to be a Santa’s grotto so hopefully the children will drag their parents out. 





After we dropped Beth at the station we went to Buckingham Park. It was really sunny but very cold. We were just about to drive home when Nix got one of her weird visual migraines. As the journey is always slow in a Friday she decided to drive home anyway via the quieter roads and guess what, the migraine went away. Nix has decided that driving the car is a better medicine than laying in a darkened room but not sure the other road users (or the police) would agree 🫣

    i do hope the Christmas fair is a success. Weather can affect those things. So glad you had a nice visit with Beth. I hope your weather gets better. We had rain and strong winds a day ago so it must have proceeded east to your home.

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
