Bank Holiday Monday Today 🙂



 So Nix went off to her ‘short contemplative’ service at St. Mary’s last night…it was very short, 15 minutes 🫢 Can I just say that she took complete advantage of it being so short and went off with David and Cynthia to see their new apartment. It was on the fifth floor so ha ha, wasn’t quite as enjoyable as she thought. She did venture out onto the terrace which was apparently very nice but just a bit too high for her. There were lovely views of the Downs and the church but Nix was terrified of using the lift on her own so Cynthia had to escort her off the premises 🤣



This morning we had a wander into town which was very nice. We stopped off for a quick coffee and then headed home because I was a bit shaky and Nix was worried about me. It doesn’t bother me, I think it looks worse than it actually is. Nix has video’d me to show Bron but we’re not sure if she will be able to do anything about it…we’ll see. She took another video of me five minutes later and as you can see I am absolutely fine. 





This afternoon we have been for tea and lemon drizzle cake at Jackie’s, that was very nice. I was warned that if I tried to dig the lawn up I would have to go on my lead and of course it wasn’t long before the accusations began. Yes I know there is a lump of grass next to me but that doesn’t mean I dug it up…so unfair. 





Tomorrow we are at the church because we just realised the guttering is leaking water everywhere so tomorrow it will be fixed and I can watch 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. Christmas Is Coming And We Have New Vicar 😋

So we had a very exciting morning at church…actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England.
