Fixing The Sound In Church



 I’m sorry we’re a bit late today, we’ve been just a bit busy. 



There were no accidents last night because I went out for my last walk quite late. We set out early this morning too because Nix had to get a urine sample to take in for Bron. Note to Nix, next time you take a urine sample make sure you screw the top on properly otherwise when it falls off the seat and on to the floor you are going to get it all over your hands when you pick it up. Thankfully there was enough left to test and we should get those results tomorrow. It is just to check if my urine is still too alkaline. I hope that I don’t have to take the tablets for ever because they are really big and I can taste them in the sausage. Apparently I was very funny when I walked in to the vets as I got straight on the scales 😇



This afternoon Jackie came round for a cuppa. I always think Nix is going to leave me when Jackie comes in so it was very nice that we were all able to relax in the garden. After Jackie left we went over to the church as Nix was meeting Kay her fellow churchwarden to look at the sound in the church. The microphone wasn’t working on Sunday and Nix didn’t know how to fix it so she wanted to find out for next time. It helps apparently if you have the volume turned up 🙄



I had a bit of a fall when I was getting into the car. I was using my step but my back legs gave way a bit but I’m okay now. I think Nix might look at the buggies again so we don’t always have to go in the car.

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
