We Met Up With Barney Today

 


This morning was very exciting as we went to meet my old friend Barney. We used to walk together when we all lived in Hove and we are very good friends. Barney always used to want me to play but as you know I don’t really do that…he is nearly twelve now so he wasn’t so bothered. I think Nix found an old video of us up on Devils Dyke speaking of which Nix said we might go there next week if we have a sunny day but that doesn’t look very likely at the moment.






I think this is going to be a very short blog today as I  feel like sleeping for a bit longer. I might just arise to have my lunch and as it doesn’t look very nice out, I might as well go back to sleep. As you know Nix’s life isn’t very interesting so I can’t see her having much to write about. 



For your information I did get up and have my lunch and Nix had three giant prawns for me as an extra treat. They were in her fish pie and she doesn’t like them…I do, I love them.

It’s My Birthday Tomorrow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
