Very Wet And Windy But I Got Cake 😋

 I’ve had cake today and custard cream biscuits. It was Rev’d Andrew’s last day at our church and so of course he got cake. It’s always big enough to share round all of the congregation so there was plenty for me. It’s very sad to see him go because I quite like him but I didn’t mind so much as it meant there was plenty of cake. Nix took tissues because she thought she might cry. I prayed really hard that she wouldn’t because this is not a good look for her. When she cries, which is rarely thankfully, the water doesn’t come out of her eyes, it comes out of her nose and it’s not a good look. I have mentioned this in passing but she says she can’t help it which is no excuse as far as I am concerned 🙄



We haven’t really been anywhere other than church because it has really been raining a lot and it’s very windy. We set off for our afternoon walk just now and Nix decided we should go anticlockwise round the block which includes the beach. This is because our winds are mainly coming from the south west but today, just as we hit the beach the wind was coming from the east and that was the direction we were walking. It was horrible, I got soaked and every time I stopped to eat something I got moved on by Nix. 



We are home now, I’ve been dried off, I’ve had my lunch, I’ve had my medication and now I’m going to bed 🙂😴

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
