Very Cold Today But I Got Some Rhubarb and Apple Cake 😋

 


We’ve had a quietish day today. This morning the boardwalk was very slippy and it was freezing cold so we didn’t stay out too long. I did however find this massive dogfish, nice and fresh. I had to put my paw on it to hold it steady while I had a good old munch. It was so yummy but for some reason when we got home Nix was running around the bungalow screaming every time I went anywhere near her…apparently I really really stank. 



We hadn’t been home too long when we headed into town for the Artisan’s market. We stopped off at the Parish Centre for tea and rhubarb and apple crumble cake which was rather yummy. It might have just had the edge on the dead dogfish. 






Nix and I have been lazing around for the rest of the afternoon but we have just been out for a walk down the beach. I stayed on my lead because that fish was still there. It would seem I’m the only one who’s interested, not even the foxes want it and they’ll eat anything. Nix says she’s taking her rubber gloves tomorrow so she can get it bagged up. It won’t fit in a poo bag, Nix will have to take a small bin liner with her and then she will throw it away!!!



Nix has washed the bed I take to church so the only other bed in the lounge is the orthopaedic one. I don’t much like it but if I want to keep an eye on Nix it’s my only choice. Once I’m certain she’s not going out again I shall transfer to one of my donut beds in the bedroom 😴

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
