Fish And Chips Last Night 😋

 


Nix woke up really early this morning, probably because she ate too much of the fish and chips last night and didn’t save enough for me. I think she thought she would get away with lazing around in the lounge listening to The Archers but no, I think not. I may be deaf but I definitely know when she gets up because she wafts around and that causes a breeze which is what wakes me up. I like to sit and stare and I usually win because Nix can’t stand it. She knows if she doesn’t get up and get dressed and take me out I’ll start barking 🙂



It’s very windy today, we nearly got blown over on the beach this morning so we came home quite quickly. I went straight to bed because I was lacking in sleep with Nix getting up so early. Yes I know I don’t have to get up too but it’s hard to sleep with Nix crashing around. When we got home Nix discovered the bird bath had blown over…that’s how strong the winds have been because it’s made out of really heavy stone. 




This afternoon we have been over the bridge into town. We went through the churchyard and took a short cut to the pet shop. I didn’t think they were as friendly as usual, I didn’t get a stroke and more importantly I didn’t get a treat.  Nix did get me some more of the Coya freeze dried meat which I have sprinkled on my dry food. She never really wanted to feed me kibble but it’s all I can have now and actually don’t tell her but I really like it. It’s even better of course with the dried meat on it. I got beef, chicken and fish 😋

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
