Bit Muddy Today



 After our morning walk I was expected to go to sleep while Nix went out for half hour. Nope, I’m not having that, I knew she wanted to go out so I went to sleep until five minutes before she was due to leave and then I woke up. I got to go too but I did have to sleep in the car while she did her thing. I like that, it’s cosy in the back and it’s better than staying home on my own. Nix could keep an eye on the car so she didn’t worry though she did rush back when she’d finished but I was fast asleep. 



This afternoon we have been to Buckingham Park which was a bit muddy but I still had a good time. I had a stand off with another dog, Nix thought we were going to be there all day. I’ve now got muddy paws and it’s the PCC meeting this evening which I shall be attending though I shan’t be voting. If there’s anything dog related on the agenda I expect I’d be voting then 🙂






It’s Nix’s Lent course starting tomorrow and she’s meant to have read the first two chapters of a book. That’ll need a miracle, Nix isn’t much of a reader because she can never remember anything she’s read the previous day. She does seem to be enjoying it or maybe annoyed by it but there is a lot of highlighting going on. 







Tomorrow it’s going to rain all day and be very windy. It a good job we don’t have to go anywhere…except for my walks of course 🙂

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
