We Got A Visit From Jackie, Catherine and Indie 🙂



 Nix has been defrosting the fridge/freezer for what seems to be a lifetime. Her own fault, she didn’t close the freezer door properly last night so it all melted over night and then she pushed the door closed this morning and it all froze up again. She could hardly get the door open then so she’s had to completely de freeze the whole thing. Anyway it’s all done now and she’s feeling very pleased with herself but the amount of ice that came out of that freezer was very scary. 




This afternoon we went for a wander into town and a mooch round the churchyard. One of the charity shops won’t let dogs in any longer and Nix wondered why. She asked in one of the other shops and they said there’d been ‘an incident’ but wouldn’t say what. It’s driving Nix mad now because she really wants to know🤣 




This afternoon we have had a visit from Jackie and Catherine and Indie too of course. I helped myself to a fairy cake that was on the coffee table because I work on the theory that if it’s within reach then it’s available. Apparently it doesn’t work like that, I have no idea why 🤔 Indie told me off for getting too close to Catherine and I’m wondering if I’m meant to be acting like that…is that what dogs do. I think you can definitely teach an old dog new tricks so I’m willing to learn. Nix said I’m having withdrawal symptoms since the BCJ moved away and just looking for trouble. 



Tomorrow we are going to the recycling centre with some stuff Nix has cleared out so hopefully as we’ll be in the car we might go for a walk somewhere with grass. The beach is lovely but I do miss the grass especially when it’s really muddy 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
