Tea With Jackie and Indie 🙂

 


We had a very nice home group last night, Nix says it’s nice to have lots of visitors. I usually go to bed once everyone has arrived but last night I stayed in the lounge to keep everyone company. Nix says I’m a bit clingy at the moment and she’s a bit worried about that but the truth is I’m nosey and don’t want to miss anything. 




I think a lot of the UK got a big storm yesterday but we didn’t get any of it, in fact it was rather a nice day. This morning however the sea was very rough. It was a bit strange because there wasn’t even any wind but the waves were big. It’s amazing how many silly dog owners let’s their dogs get very close to the waters edge. It only takes one wave Nix says so I’m not allowed to go too close especially if the tide is coming in. 



We had fun this afternoon as we went out with Jackie and Indie. To tell you the truth I was ready to go out earlier and I tried the stare but it didn’t work but I didn’t mind too much as I went back to sleep. After we stopped at the café for tea and eggs on toast for Nix we headed over to the churchyard. Indie and I like it there but the plan was to go on to the pet shop as well to buy me treats and to weigh me. Unfortunately the pet shop has a vets and a dog groomers attached to it both of which Indie has visited and so she is not keen. We weren’t sure whether she would come in with me but she didn’t mind at all and came straight in. We both got weighed, I was just over 20kg which is perfect. We are waiting to hear back from Bron now about when I should go in for my flush.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
