Lancing Ring Today and the Beach 🙂

 First of all I am absolutely fine. The guy on the beach yesterday didn’t really kick me with the toe of his boot, he sort of thrust his boot between me and his dog. It didn’t hurt me at all so no one needs to worry…I’m a toughie as I’m sure you all know. Nix says we won’t be going to the beach on a warm Sunday in future, we’ll stick to the Downs.



We’ve had a quiet day today as Nix had washing and stuff to do. We meandered down the boardwalk this morning which was very nice and it was lovely and warm but not too hot. There was no sign of the black Labrador thank goodness though I feel we could be friends, he seemed to like me. 




After lunch we intended to visit the Lancing ring by the dew pond but all the roads were closed off. We ended up at the lower part of the Ring which means a very big climb to get to the top. We only made it half way up as it was quite hot by then and Nix was panicking when I decided to go my own way. We did discover a new doggy exercise area which is probably fun if you’re a bit younger but I didn’t bother. 




I did just persuade Nix to take another short walk along the beach as it is such a lovely day. I hope you like all the pics.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
