Busy Day Today…



 Well Nix is being very lazy this afternoon. She’s cleaned the oven and is very pleased with herself. Having said that it’s the first time in the five years we’ve lived here so it’s about time. She has discovered that a pumice stone gets all the burnt food off, even if it has been there for five years. You heard it here first ny friends, pumice stone and water, Nix says it’s like a miracle 🙂 



We had our usual walk up the beach this morning. There’s a yacht moored out there at the moment, apparently it’s broken down and they are waiting for someone to fix it. Nix couldn’t see it of course 🫢



Later on this morning we took a trip to Buckingham Park and had a look at the really old sweet chestnut tree. It’s at least a hundred years old but some say it’s nearer two hundred. That’s very old, even older than Nix 🤣



This afternoon we had another walk down the beach and I persuaded Nix to take me over the footbridge to the churchyard where my favourite snack grows. To do this I just put the brakes on and refuse to budge when we get to the end of our road. Everyone usually stares and so Nix gives in. 



Oh yes I forgot, we did get a short walk down the river earlier but there were MAMILs aplenty and so I had to stay on my lead😕

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
