Brooklands Today…

 I had a bit of a lay in this morning because I was a little later going to bed last night. We went to Nix’s home group and didn’t get home until about 10 o’clock which is very late for me. I was still asleep when Nix woke up this morning, and that’s a first 🙂

We had a beach walk first of all  which was very nice but a bit too warm for me. I preferred it this afternoon when we drove over to Brooklands Park. We went on the opposite side to normal where they have this amazing cycle way. it’s called Cycall and it’s an inclusive cycling project which provides adapted cycling and outdoor games  for children & adults.  I have to be a bit careful not to go on the track because they have right of way and I might get run over by one of the bicycles. 

We had a meander into town this afternoon and had a quick nose round the churchyard. There was a lady taking photos of squirrels…weird, I’d rather chase them. 

Home group is coming to us next week so now Nix is worrying she won’t have enough chairs. If everyone turns up there will be nine of them, I think we can just about do it if we use the garden chairs. 

We’ve been passing this big plant every morning, it’s growing over someone’s wall. Nix wanted to know what it was because it was so pretty and the yellow flowers were huge. When we looked this morning, the flowers are gone and now there’s a big yellow thingy there instead. Nix thinks it might be some sort of a squash but she’d like to know if anyone knows. Please don’t tell her to look on a plant app because hers is useless and never gets it right, it told her this was a cucumber and that can’t be right 🤔
