Tea and Biscuits With Frances and Rusty…

Thank you so much for so many birthday greetings. I have looked at every one and hopefully ‘liked’ them all but it will be impossible for me to reply to everyone as there are hundreds. It really meant a lot to me and I can’t thank you enough…love from Nix xxx



Right Fripp here and let’s get on with the blog now. I had to let Nix have the first words as she’s too lazy to post on her own blog…oh hold on, she doesn’t have one 🤣🤣🤣





We’ve been to visit Frances and Rusty this afternoon, Frances is a friend from church and one of the café volunteers and she lives up near the old fort. She wanted Nix to let me off my lead but that was never going to happen so I remained tethered. It’s not my fault if I get over excited in new places but I really do need to investigate every room and empty any rubbish bins etc. The garden looked very inviting too, lot of stones to dig up and foxes in the corner. I did go to sleep in the end but I feel I’ve been thwarted in my endeavour to investigate the entire house and make sure all was hunky dory 🙂 I also missed out on tea and biscuits. 





We are home now and Nix is cooking her dinner. I use the term ‘cooking’ very loosely indeed as she’s basically sticking something in the oven to heat up. I want to go in the garden but she says no because then she’ll have to keep an eye on me and she just wants to ‘sit in the lounge in peace’ She’s talking about knocking the wall down between the two rooms so she can sit in the lounge and still see out into the garden but that would entail her sleeping in the spare bedroom permanently and there wouldn’t be enough room for all my beds. Thinking about it I could have then spread out in the lounge…that could work 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
