We Went to The Bank Today

 


I am a little bit bored today to tell you the truth, I was expecting quite a bit more with it being Christmas week. I had to go on my lead on the beach this morning and all because I took off down to the shoreline across the tracks made by the shingle shifters. Nix could see their headlights on and panicked but I happen to know that they don’t start work until 8am and it wasn’t anywhere near that. Anyway she had to come after me and the shingle shifters’ tracks are actually quite deep. I found them really easy to get across, Nix not so much. Anyway when she finally caught up with me I had found a yummy dead fish which I wasn’t about to give up so she put my lead on and marched me home. I dropped the fish on the way back.



After lunch (a bag of Maltesers) we walked into town as Nix had to go into the bank. I matched the ladies in there as they were wearing festive red sweaters. After the bank we went to the pet shop and I think Nix was buying my Christmas present. She also put me on the scales but I had my coat on so she’s now got to weigh the coat so she can work out my weight. The coat was a bit wet when we got home so Nix put it on the radiator to dry 🫢 That wasn’t such a good idea because it started to smell really bad. I think I must have accidentally wee’d on it because it’s a bit big for me and flaps around. Anyway it’s in the washing machine now so Nix will weight it when it’s dry and then I can announce my new weight 🙂



We got some new towels so I am getting all of the old ones and tomorrow we are taking my old ones down to the Dogs Trust so the dogs there can get nice and dry when they get wet in the rain.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
