Three Walks Before Lunch 🙂



 I’ve been out three times today and all before lunchtime 🙂 First of all we had our usual early morning walk along the beach. We were just in time to see Nix’s friend Ali and her friends going in for their daily early morning dip. They always scream when they go in, you’d think they’d know by now it was going to be really really cold. I think they’re very brave, Nix thinks they’re completely mad 🙂 



After that we headed down to the Church of the Good Shepherd as Nix was hoping to meet two ladies who have volunteered to help her with the ‘warm spaces’ café when it opens. Nix didn’t realise that the early morning communion service on a Tuesday doesn’t last very long so by the time we got there everyone had gone. We’ll have to try again next week.



We went home so Nix could have a cup of tea and then we headed to the beach again to encourage the Christmas litter pickers. That didn’t go too well as I had a bit of a humping incident, well two actually so I had to go on the lead…the Pug was well grumpy. It was very busy down there and Nix said she wouldn’t be able to spot the BCJ if he arrived so best I stayed on my lead.



We’re home now and Nix has finished off Sheila’s shortbread…I didn’t get any 😕

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
