Christmas Eve And All The Naughty Dog Owners Were Out 😕



 It’s Christmas Eve everyone and it seems all the bad dog owners were out to today. This morning I was as usual down by the shoreline when a young lady Labrador was showing a particular interest in moi. Her owner asked Nix if I was a boy or a girl as her Labrador was in season and she didn’t want to have puppies just yet. Once Nix said I wasn’t interested she started jogging off down the boardwalk. There were lots of other dogs around who were interested so we have a feeling that lady might be getting puppies whether she wants them or not 😪



We’ve been over to Hove for a pre Christmas walk. Nix thought everyone would be shopping and it would be really quiet but instead it was really busy. There were more silly dog owners there behaving very irresponsibly 😕 The sea was very rough yet quite a few owners were throwing balls into the sea for their dogs to fetch. Nix didn’t manage to video the really big waves because they only come every five minutes or so but we were really scared for the dogs in case the big wave came when they were in the sea. Weirdly all the dogs were springer spaniels. 



We didn’t stay long in Hove, I wanted to go in the big Beach Café but Nix said it was too busy in there. They take hours when there’s no one in there so she dreaded to think how long we’d be waiting. I was a bit annoyed as they always give me a sausage. 



Now we’re home and Nix has been making a trifle to take to Jackie and Indie’s to have after Christmas lunch tomorrow. The one she made last year would have fed an army so she’s toned it down a bit this year. We’re really looking forward to going 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
