Been Visiting Today 🙂



 Friday morning and we missed our prayer and meditation. This was because it was pouring with rain and Nix felt it wouldn’t be very good for me to have to lie in the church when I was wet. It can be a bit chilly in there so she felt best we stayed home. I really missed everyone (and the croissants) and we were sad because it was the last one before Christmas and we didn’t get chance to wish everyone a happy Christmas. We will be going to church on Christmas morning though so we’ll see lots of people there. 



A bit later on we went for a walk with Jackie and Indie which was very nice. It was a bit chilly on the beach but I had my woollen coat on so I was quite warm enough. On the way home we bumped into Maureen and Peter who live up the road and they invited Nix and me for a cup of tea later that afternoon. 



We’ve just got back from Peter and Maureen’s and I was very well behaved. I wore my gold coat as it was perfect for the occasion and I got a Bonio when we arrived. Peter is very clever, he made a Christmas tree out of driftwood. It’s hanging over the mirror, Nix took a photo to show you and you can see me if you look carefully 🙂 Maureen also said she would sit with me in our bungalow if ever Nix needed to go somewhere I wasn’t allowed. I think that was very kind of her but I hope Nix doesn’t think she can now go gallivanting around without moi 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
