Groomers Today and a Meander to the Beach 🙂

 So today is going to be a quiet day. I’ve been to the groomers and that does make me a bit tired. Nix went shopping for warm socks but I’m not so sure she’s going to be needing them. Today it’s sunny with a temperature of about 15° with no wind. Everyone Nix met said it was like the summer and it is but not quite so hot, perfect for moi. Humphrey was at the groomers at the same time as me so that was nice, I really like him. 



We went to the beach briefly after my groom and we saw a lovely little puppy on her dad’s back. They stopped at the beach so Nix was able to get a cuddle...she was very sweet but wanted to get down to play with me I think. Nix and I just meandered really and we took some selfies but now we are home again and resting. Well when I say resting, I am resting and Nix is washing my bedding from the car 🙂



You know those pink wellies that Nix bought…well the company that makes them have just gone bust so it’s a good job she got her refund quickly or she would have lost it. She’s watching the weather report all the time waiting for rain so she can wear them into town. I don’t feel so bad walking with her now seeing as so many of you really liked them 🙂



When Nix was in the shop there was a big bin for customers to put food in to help people who can’t afford much. The bin was very full, I think humans can be very kind.

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
