A Very Sad Day Today 😪

 It’s not such a good day today, Nix had some bad news. She got a phone call to say her lovely cousin Lesley has gone to heaven. They lived a long way from us so we didn’t really see them but Nix and Lesley always kept in touch by phone and email. Lesley was the closest to a sister that Nix had and as children they all used to go on holiday together. Lesley was a huge dog lover and had taken in rescues all of her life. I don’t like to see Nix sad, it makes me sad too 😪 Lesley and her husband John used to love reading my blog and it always made them laugh. I hope that Lesley will be able to read it in heaven…if it’s allowed in 🫢



Luckily as it’s been raining for most of the day I had already posed for some indoor shots.



Rest in peace dear Lesley, one of the funniest kindest people we have ever known…

It’s My Birthday Tomorrow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
