A Meander Down The River 🙂



 I am still enjoying my new food and Nix has sent off for a couple of different kinds so I have some variation. I might also get a bit of chicken shredded over it and some other yummy things. I am drinking more water though of course and we all know what that means don’t we 🫢 Luckily I am well stocked with belly bands thanks to Yvonne Lough and Sally Carson 🥰 



This afternoon we went for a walk through the town for a change. We went past St Nicholas church and over to the river for a meander down there. That was very enjoyable apart from the MAMILs who are a bit of a nuisance because they go too fast. There has been talk of us dogs having to be on our leads down there so the MAMILs can go even faster. Nix says it’s not fair and there’s enough doggy  people to form a protest. We should all be able to use the path safely together.  There was a cameraman filming down by the Shoreham air crash memorial, Nix wanted to ask him what he was doing but didn’t in the end…now she’s wishing she had because she wants to know. 




Nix got a very pretty Jacquie Lawson advent calendar this morning from Annmaria Wellington. There will be lots of puzzles to keep her occupied and out of my hair for the next month and it’s set in Sussex where we live. Nix has to wait until tomorrow to start and patience has never been her strong point 🙄 Thank you Annmarie for giving her something to do because she does sit around a bit 🙂



Apparently I am being really annoying this afternoon. Nix wants to put her feet up and watch a Christmas movie and I want to go out again. Yes I know we’ve only been back an hour but that’s not the point is it…

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
