Bluebird Café Today 🙂

 It’s like the summer today so after we waited for my turkey mince to arrive we headed straight out for the Bluebird Café. When we arrived there were over twenty dogs sitting outside and only one of them wasn’t crossed with a poodle 🙄 Everyone wanted to know what breed I was apart from the ones who thought I was a Dulux dog 🙄 



Before we left home Nix had finally got all the burrs out of my tail and had brushed it with Cowboy Magic. It was very big and bushy and I got a lot of compliments on it. Did I tell you my cutaneous horn has disappeared, not sure where it went but I might grow another one. 



Yesterday I got a gift in the post. Nix had ordered me a belly band and when it arrived there were two extra ones from Yvonne Lough. Yvonne chose the one with stars because I am a star of course and also a Burberry one. Nix got me a tartan one to match my coat in case I have to wear them together. Thank you Yvonne very much, you are too kind and I shall think of you every time I wee myself 🥰 I’m so sorry the photos aren’t very good, Nix didn’t put the belly bands on properly. I did get a bit bored too with all the posing and that Velcro is very noisy. I wasn’t scared of it though, anything is better than Nix clearing her throat when you’re just drifting off. 



I did get into a bit of trouble as we were walking home from the café. I like to go behind the Tamarisk trees but this time I jumped down on to the beach. It’s not very far but I couldn’t jump back up again. Nix had to walk all the way back to where there were some steps so I could walk up them. Everyone sitting on the benches were laughing…I like to make people laugh 🥰

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
