The iPad Broke and Then Nix Fixed It 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Nix is feeling very pleased with herself today. Yesterday was the final straw. The drilling men started at 3pm and didn’t stop until 10pm but at least we were able to go to sleep in the night and they fixed one leak. In the middle of all the noise the iPad broke and Nix was panicking. We can’t afford a new one and she didn’t think she could type the blog out every day on her phone. We thought this was to be the end of the blog and Nix was really upset. There was talk of using some of her ‘funeral fund’ to get a new one 🫢 Anyway she decided to Google to see if there was anything she could do. She didn’t think so because the home button thingy was stuck and she knew it was probably to do with the cracked screen. Anyway she tried all the tips to get it working but none of them worked. Then finally the guy she was watching on YouTube said that if none of these things worked you could give yourself another ‘home button’ 😳 She followed his instructions and voila, she now has a new floating ‘home button’ on her screen which works just the same as the original one. To say she is elated is an understatement I think. 



It’s very hot again today so we just went to Buckingham Park. All the grass is green again and the horrid spiky things have gone. I meant to tell you, when we were out yesterday we saw the BCJ across the road. I went a bit bonkers but then later on when we were out I thought I saw him again and it made my back legs go weird, Nix said I was twerking, she took a video 🤣




The drilling men are back again today looking for a second leak. Nix said nothing is going to annoy her now because she has an iPad that works again…just 🫢

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
