Nix Fell Over the Vacuum Cleaner 🙄

 


Nix and I are taking it easy today. Nix recovered very well from the trek down to the cafe at Devil’s Dyke. She managed to get down a very steep path with very loose stones and then back up again and miraculously managed to stay on her feet. She was not however able to stay on her feet when she was hoovering the bungalow this morning. Somehow she managed to get her foot caught in the hoover cable and went flying. She landed on her knee and her head just missed the edge of the table. She’s fine, no need to worry and I still got my walk to the river but we didn’t go as far as planned...I don’t mind it’s quite hot again. 





We have had another intruder digging up the garden…Nix is laying on the bed so she can watch out for it. I am innocently asleep minding my own business but I shall watch out for it too 😇



It’s very warm and Nix keeps falling asleep. I shouldn’t be surprised if the intruder comes back and Nix sleeps right through it 🫣

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
