Tracy Came to Visit 🙂

 I hear a few of you were concerned about Nix’s health situation, well she’s fine today. Let’s not all get carried away, it was just a vaccination. I think she enjoyed all the sympathy which should be kept for moi because I have more serious health problems. Nix says I am a bit of a disaster area health wise and I think that is a good thing. Apparently if my platelets don’t start heading north we might be in a bit of a pickle. Last time this happened to me I had to go on a very high dose of the steroid thingies. It made me very tired and my hair fell out. I also wee’d in places I shouldn’t but that really was not my fault. So
 the problem seems to be that I don’t think I can have the steroids again because I have an infection too which is always in my bypass. It’s why I have to go on the antibiotics regularly. Maybe I can have both, Nix should find out but I think she’s too scared to ask. When I go for my next check up one week tomorrow she is going to ask then. Maybe my platelets will have gone up then she won’t need to ask 🙏




This morning after we’d been to the beach, Tracy came to visit which was very nice for Nix but a bit boring for me. I did pose for some photos of me having a cuddle on Nix’s lap, my favourite place. I heard Nix telling Tracy that we are having a street party for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and I can go too
there will be lemon drizzle 👏👏👏  Nix ordered me a Union Jack bandana and she just found out it won’t be arriving until after the party is over
phew đŸ˜± When Nix was seven in 1952 it was the Queen’s Coronation and Nix’s mum had two red, white and blue rosettes made for Nix, one for her head and one for her front. She won the fancy dress competition and got to walk in the parade. I think Nix is trying to relive that with me, can someone tell her I am a dog not a child.




Southwick hill this afternoon, had a bit longer walk than normal because Nix went the wrong way đŸ€­

So we had a very exciting morning at church
actually Nix did, I was asleep for most of it. Nix and the other churchwarden Kay were able to announce to the church that they have a new vicar. They have been unable to tell anyone about it until certain checks had been done so it’s been quite difficult for them. Now everyone knows and we are all looking forward to Rev Dominic Fenton coming to join us. He had to tell his church this morning that he would be leaving so that would’ve been quite difficult for him I should imagine. I had my photo taken with Nicky and Donald after the service, they brought me biscuits 😋 We have a carol service this evening so we’ll be going back just after 5 o’clock as we’re on welcoming duty. Nix has got some fairy lights to wear around her neck but she’s not sure what the rules are in the Church of England. My name is Fripp aka The Fripster, I am a Bearded Collie and I came to live with Nix when I was two years old.  I spent the first two years of my life living in Monaco but my owners couldn’t keep me because they were working long hours. Even though Nix lives in the UK she saw me and wanted me, naturally, and so my breeder brought me to the UK when she was visiting Crufts. Nix says she had no idea what she was letting herself in for and if I hadn’t come all the way from France she’d have sent me straight back the next day. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 đŸ˜Ș

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge đŸ˜Ș He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy
he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given
not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
