Meditation and the Bluebird Café at Ferring…



 Today is a very sad day, we have just dropped Kathleen and Marshall off at their hotel for the last time 😪  We have had a fantastic time showing them around and I have had lots of extra walks and Nix has had lots of boxes of Maltesers. To be honest I’m a bit tired today so I’m going to bed as soon as I’ve finished the blog. 




This morning Kathleen and Marshall came to our Friday morning meditation with coffee and croissants afterwards. On the way home we all got very wet because it rained a lot. We sheltered in a coffee shop for a while and Kathleen showed Nix photos of her dogs wearing their raincoats. I hope Nix isn’t thinking of getting me one, they had ducks on them and there were hoods 😱




It eventually stopped raining and the sun came out so this afternoon we all went to the Bluebird Cafe in Ferring. That was very nice, I was able to have a good sleep while they ate yet another meal. 




Tomorrow all will be back to normal blog wise and we promise not to be late again as I know you all worry 😇

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
