Lots of Visitors Today



 Well it’s all been happening here since we last spoke. Last night there was a huge water leak down our road caused by the ‘cowboys’ who are laying some cables. Nix rang Southern Water and they said they’d fix it. When we went out this morning it still hadn’t been fixed. Nix was really mad because she said there are people in the world who don’t have enough water to drink and they were letting it run down the drain. She rang back and was told it can take up to 24 hours to fix so ‘not amused’ would be an understatement. She said she bet it didn’t take them 24 hours to release all the sewage into our ocean that they’d just been fined for and she was going to call the newspapers. By the time we got back the whole crew were there, Southern Water vans, highway maintenance vans and a lot of men running around…it got fixed very quickly 🙂



We had a visit from our friend Jill this morning so that was very nice. We sat in the garden until it started raining and then we came inside but not before we had appreciated Jackie’s lovely roses which are growing over our fence. There was lemon drizzle cake and I got some but Jill and Nix were putting the world to rights so I got a bit bored and went off for a sleep.



Just a bit later the doorbell rang and woke me up and it was Jackie and Indie from next door so they came in for a cup of tea too…there was no lemon drizzle left by then though. After Jill left we went for our afternoon walk down the beach and Jackie and Indie came too. I posed for a ‘Spot the Beardie’ photo in the Silver Ragwort😇




All in all it’s been a busy and enjoyable day. 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
