Mothering Sunday, I’ve Been a Good Boy 😇



 It’s Mothering Sunday today, did you know that. Nix doesn’t really like it much because she lost her mum a long long time ago but she said it still feels like yesterday. It was Mothering Sunday weekend when she lost her too so that makes it even sadder for Nix. Oh yes and apparently I don’t count as a child so Nix is a bit sad about that too, no one to take her out for a Mother’s Day lunch 🙄 



We did go to church this morning and all the children were giving out little pots of flowers to all the ladies which made Nix cry… any excuse 🙄 One of the older ‘children’ had green hair and Nix said she used to have her hair that colour. I demanded proof which was a huge mistake as she’s spent the last hour looking through old photos.  I hate to say this but I reckon she’s going to be boring you all with some of them.



It’s quite hot today, almost like summer. We had a little walk on the beach but I got a bit tired so we’re home now and I’m having a rest. I hope we’ll have more to tell tomorrow though Nix’s iPad isn’t working very well so we might be a bit late. 




I’ve tried to stop her but she’s insisting on posting the cards she used to send out to her clients. One of them is when she put her prices up one year…she chose a Bible verse but she wasn’t even a Christian then. I think she feels a bit bad about that now 🤭

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
