I Stayed on my Own for Over an Hour Today…I Don’t Really Like It 😔

 


Lots of pictures of moi today not doing very much because we haven’t actually done very much. I suppose we did go to the beach this morning and then I suppose we did go back to the beach again at lunchtime and I suppose I did get a quick walk round the block before Nix went off to her meeting. I stayed on my own for over an hour this afternoon and I was a very good boy but I was very glad when Nix got home. 




Tomorrow morning I am going to see my vet Bron because my abscess has started leaking again and it’s got a lump round it. Bron said the vet I saw first did the right thing by not putting me on antibiotics. In vet speak she said, ‘antibiotic stewardship suggests no antibiotics for open draining abscesses’ whatever that means. She said she doesn’t want to risk any infection travelling to my SUB or my kidneys so I have started the antibiotics again. She says I’m different…I like being different 😇 



It’s a shame I have to start the antibiotics again because I’ve only just stopped taking them from my last bypass flush. Never mind, hopefully it won’t be for too long but then I’m due to have my next flush soon and then I’ll have to start taking them again. I prefer not to take them because my tummy feels better and my food tastes better…even though Nix cooks it 😂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
