A Day of Taking it Easy 🙂

 We’re a bit late tonight, sorry, it’s Nix’s fault. As you know she has her Lent thingie on Thursdays for a few more weeks and I go to stay with Jean and Georgia round the corner. She spends far too much time chatting if you ask me and that’s why we’re late home. She’s now wanting to cook her dinner but I said she has to do my typing first because I know how you worry if we are late. 



We had a very quiet walk on the beach this morning, we were the only people there for most of it.  Nix didn’t want me to go down to low tide because one of my bites has gone a bit weird. It has a huge scab on it but the swelling around it is very big. Nix says it’s as big as a golf ball but she is prone to exaggeration as you know 🤭 We’ll speak to the vet tomorrow. 




Exciting news today is that Shelle my groomer set off for Romania with a van full of dog food and beds etc. I’ll get Nix to post some photos and hopefully some more tomorrow when they get there. 



We nearly met a Beardie today called Winnie. We didn’t actually meet her but we saw a photo of her. She is just 10 months old and doesn’t live here but next time her humans come down they are going to bring her with them. Nix told them about the Friendly Beardie Club and also about The Adventures of Fripp so hopefully we can keep in touch and next time she visits I shall be able to meet her… I’m very excited about that 🙂

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
