Today I Feel So Much Better 😇

 




Hello everyone, I think I am feeling a lot better this afternoon. Nix was still worried this morning because I was very quiet. I didn’t feel quite right but I still wanted to go out for my walk. I had a bit of a trot down the boardwalk but I got tired very quickly. When we got home I went straight to bed. 



After a while I heard our doorbell ring and it was our friend Jean and she had croissants. It’s a good job I woke up because no one told me she was coming. I wasn’t allowed any of the croissant because I’d not eaten my breakfast but I have now. This is mainly because Jean didn’t see the plate on the floor and trod on it and all my food went everywhere. I preferred it on the floor and ate most of it so everyone’s happy. 



Nix has spoken with Bron my vet and I am to stay on my antibiotics for one month and I can have the paracetamol if I am in pain. I have just spotted next door’s cat in my garden and Nix reckons the force with which I lunged at the French doors shows I am in no pain at all so looks like the paracetamol are off the menu 😇 We are still waiting for my urine results. 



Nix is sad today because yet another friend from ‘the old days’ has gone to heaven and today was a celebration of her life. Noonie was only 51 so this is very sad and seems just a tad unfair 😪

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
