Spent the Afternoon at the Vets



 Bonjour mes amis 😇

As you all know I have been to the vets today because I haven’t been very well, I was there for over two hours. First of all I got weighed and Nix was a bit shocked because I only weighed 18.45kg and I’m usually almost 20kg. The vet said not to worry as I hadn’t eaten properly for some time and the weight drops off really quickly. Next I had my bloods taken and that all came back okay for my kidneys but I had a lot of white blood cells which means I have some kind of infection. Next I had both my kidneys scanned and then my bladder and everything was okay except for one of my kidneys which has a ‘scruffy architecture’ but we knew that, it’s always been that way. Nix had to collect some of my urine to be sent away to a special laboratory. This was easier said than done and most of it went over her hand though she did get enough to send to the lab 🙄



I am now on antibiotics and Paracetamol for a while and once the urine results come back we shall know a bit more. Meanwhile Nix is off to make custard cream balls for my tablets and some fresh turkey mince without so many carrots to try and tempt me…I think that might work 😇



Bron my own special vet who always looks after me wasn’t in today but she stayed on the phone to advise the young vet who looked after me…I love Bron 🥰

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
