Another Night in the Summerhouse…



 I slept in the Summerhouse again last night, I really like it in there. Nix tried all of the suggested remedies for her lurgy thingy and they definitely worked on giving her a better nights sleep but unfortunately didn’t stop her from coughing last night. I must point out also that the Vicks on the bottom of her feet would have sent anyone out to the summerhouse even if she hadn’t been coughing. What is wrong with you humans, it smells really really bad. To be honest it was a bit chilly in there but guess what…Nix has plugged in a radiator and it’s been on all day and it’s so snug in there now and guess what, it can stay on all night on low so I stay nice and warm if I decide to go in there again. Nix says this is the best day that she’s had so far but she can’t guarantee that she won’t cough when she gets into bed so we’re all prepared now.




This morning was chores time in other words no beach walk. We went to lots of places in town and I met lots of people…everyone complimented me on my hairdo. We took the carol service tickets back as Nix doesn’t think it a good idea to mix in a crowded place. She wouldn’t want to get the virus thingy on top of what she’s already got. We met a very nice lady there in the parish office and she had her little dog with her. Then we went to the bank and the nice lady behind the desk gave me treats. We did some shopping and other stuff and then went home. Thing is, interesting as it was it’s not the same as cantering along the boardwalk. 



This afternoon we have been to the beach 👏👏👏 I had a bit of a canter and climbed some rocks. We came home via the fish and chip shop and I got some fish. We are both now taking it easy 😇

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
