Bit of an Incident with a Black Labrador 🤭

 


We haven’t done a lot today, Nix fell asleep on the sofa again. She should sit up straight to watch the TV because she always falls asleep when she lies down. Anyway we did go to the beach this morning, that was okay but on the way home there was a bit of an incident. There was this big black Labrador strutting down our road like he owned the place. He had that manly smell about him that I don’t like. Nix noticed that I’d gone a bit rigid so she held on tight just in case. I waited until we’d passed him then attempted a mount from behind Nix’s back. This unsteadied her and she nearly fell over but I scared the Labrador’s owner so much she jumped to one side. Now if you’re pushing a baby in a buggy you shouldn’t really be jumping about, that’s very dangerous. I of course got the blame as usual, I mean is it my fault if Nix is clumsy and  mothers pushing babies start jumping around all over the place. I rest my case 😇




We had another walk this afternoon but tonight we are going to the quiz night at the church hall. We shall walk there so that will be my evening walk along with the walk home…Nix isn’t allowed to drive in the dark 😱 Before that Nix has to go and get her flu jab thingy so I have to wait on my own. 





I’ve had my beard and tail brushed in readiness for the quiz.

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
