Turkey Mince Day Today…All Present and Correct 🙂

 Can I tell you I very nearly cancelled the blog today because moi has been a bit bored. We set off this morning for coffee and croissant at the Pollinator but it was too hot to get that far so we had to come home again.  We then had to wait in for my turkey mince which always arrives safely but a lot of the stuff Nix ordered wasn’t available. She’s been having a moan about that and saying she’ll have to go shopping now in all this heat…she’s not happy. I’m fine, turkey mince…tick. Green beans…tick. Carrots…tick. Butternut squash…tick. Pasta…tick 👏👏👏 Now I just need to get Nix in the kitchen cooking it. 



We had a trip to the local park again where there’s lots of shade and I enjoyed that but it was a bit short and sweet. Nix said it was because of the heat but actually it was so she could get back and get to the beach while the tide was in the right place. It’s a very exact calculation that has to be made as if it’s too far in Nix is too scared to go in and if it’s too far out Nix is too lazy to walk out far enough to be able to splash about.



Nix has been to the beach twice again today and I have been alone twice. I’m getting to quite like it, peace and quiet but don’t tell Nix. I like her to be worrying about me when she’s gone. The first visit to the beach was with Jackie from next door. The plan was to take`Nix’s phone and take photos of each other…in the water. It was an accident waiting to happen but miraculously they managed to do it without dropping the phone in the sea. I expect Nix will sneak a couple of photos of her and Jackie as there are very few of moi today. 



I’m expecting more tomorrow…

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
