Bumped into Spud and Loki This Morning…

 I was going to start my post with a question…‘guess who we bumped into this morning’ but decided against it. I did that yesterday and Facebook decided to do something weird with it so instead of getting comments we got notifications that people were answering our question. It didn’t bother me but for some reason it really annoyed Nix…not that it takes a lot these days 🤣  She said it was a hypothetical question that didn’t need an answer and to be honest went on about it for just a bit too long. 



So…today we had the pleasure of bumping into our friend Mark with Spud and Loki. We all walked down the boardwalk together, well we walked, Loki ran…all the time, up and down, up,and down, up and down, he’s got a lot of energy 🤣 We bumped into the Huskies and rather annoyingly Nix saw them before I did and put me on the lead. There was a moment when I thought I might have pulled her over as they wanted to chase Loki and I wanted to chase them. She managed to stay on her feet though it was a close thing. 



This afternoon we have been to the woods as it’s very hot. When we stopped at the cafe I got two pieces of lemon drizzle cake which was yummy…Nix ate two slices 🙄 She also tripped over a tree root and nearly fell over. 






By the way I stayed on my own this morning when Nix went to church and when she came home I was expecting to be taken straight out. Do you know what she did (hello Facebook) she sat down and had a coffee meeting for a whole hour…it’s really not good enough 🙄

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 😪

  RIP Fripp 5.1.2010 - 8.2.25 My darling Fripp has crossed the bridge 😪 He passed very peacefully this afternoon in a lovely special room with a bed for him and a sofa for me. I am okay, I think, and I know time will heal.  A little bit about my gorgeous boy…he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 7. He did really well on his home cooked diet but when he was eight he developed autoimmune thrombocytopenia due to some meds he was given…not by Bron. He went on a high dose of steroids, lost a lot of his coat with his gorgeous tail being almost bald. He survived the disease and went on to become strong but always with the kidney disease in the background.  Some months later he got sick again and went into kidney failure. He spent a week at North Downs Referrals where they discovered his ureter was blocked with a stone and so he received a subcutaneous ureteral bypass from his kidney to his bladder.
