It’s.Nix’s Birthday Today 🎉

 It’s Nix’s birthday today...she’s 76 and that’s a lot older than moi whatever she might say. She is very happy with all her birthday messages and she doesn’t  realise that you are actually my friends and not hers. I thought I’d let her think they’re hers as it’s her birthday. She’s been trying to read all the messages and said her eyesight was really playing up and then she realised she was still wearing her sunglasses 😎🙄



I was promised a walk to a new spot called Highdown Hill and a stop for tea and lemon drizzle cake at their tea rooms. It did entail one quite busy road which as you know Nix doesn’t like but decided as it was her birthday she’d give it a go. Big mistake...she took the wrong exit at the roundabout and ended up on an even faster road going in the wrong direction. I was busting for a wee and have to put up with her squealing about not knowing where she was. Eventually we saw a signpost for the sea so we headed there and at least she knew where we were and I could get my walk...no drizzle cake though 😕

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
