It’s Bank Holiday Monday and it’s Boiling Hot!

 Well it’s going to be a very short blog today because quite frankly I’ve not done a lot. I did go to the beach this morning     I suppose but the day trippers were already arriving so it was a bit busy. 



Later on we went to see Rog and I suppose I did get a walk in the woods beforehand. Nix thought it would hilarious to hide from me because I was taking too long and then take a video of me in slow motion. She’ll say I was panicking when I couldn’t see her. I definitely was not panicking, I just like to have a little trot every now and again. There were a lot of people there too, all down for the day to go to the beach. I think I’m very lucky to live here all the time.  





This afternoon our neighbour and my friend Jackie came round for tea and biscuits. This would have been okay if Nix hadn’t eaten all the biscuits she’d bought for the occasion and I had to stay on my own while she went out to buy more. They have decided they are going to go in to the sea together...neither of them can swim. Nix will have her big board that keeps her afloat and everyone sitting on the beach will think she’s going to do something spectacular... major disappointment, she just splashes around and laughs a lot when a wave comes in. It’s all very embarrassing, I’m glad I shan’t be there, I’d rather stay home and have a nap. Nix was so busy talking with Jackie that she forgot to take photos but I’m sure you’ll be happy with some of moi 🥰

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits. I like to walk right behind her and when she looks over her right shoulder to make sure I’m still there I overtake her on the left.
