Sad Day Today to see the Queen Sitting on her Own...😪

 Well we’ve had quite a busy day. Nix has been watching the funeral of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and she has been crying a lot. I’m not sure why, she doesn’t really know him but she said it was the soldiers that set her off. Nix is very proud of being British and she’s said that  because of my recent fame then I can become a British citizen too...I am very happy about that. Nix said she was happy too to see William and Harry chatting to each other even though she thinks Harry has been a bit naughty. I don’t personally think there is anything wrong with being a bit naughty, better than being boring.  The queen had to sit on her own and she looked very sad, I don’t like it when people are sad. 



On a lighter note Nix’s friend Tracy came to visit this morning and Nix got a big hug. It’s only the third hug she’s had since the virus thingy started and that made her cry as well. Tracy brought such a big bunch of flowers Nix had to put them in two vases.  Tracy really loved the book that Kathleen Depew had made for Nix and she loved reading about moi of course. 





I’ve not done that well for walks today so not many photos but I’m promised lemon drizzle cake tomorrow so that’s okay.

 We’ve not done a lot today. Nix has been dozing off at various times and to be honest, I’ve been asleep too. It’s quite nice actually not having anything to do. Nix has been working on the church log book so there was lots of tutting, mainly because she couldn’t remember where she’d put anything. Just in case you were wondering, the log book is an account of everything that is added to the church or taken away or repaired. Eventually Nix will fill in the actual document with special ink that doesn’t fade so it will be there for future generations to read.  We did go to the Rec this afternoon as I did need a little walk but we didn’t stay too long, it was very cold. It was also very muddy but not to worry, most of it will fall off tomorrow in time for my birthday 🙂 Speaking of my birthday, I have received quite a lot of presents and cards which is very exciting. Everything You Wanted to Know About Fripp

My name is Fripp aka The Fripster, I am a Bearded Collie and I came to live with Nix when I was two years old.  I spent the first two years of my life living in Monaco but my owners couldn’t keep me because they were working long hours. Even though Nix lives in the UK she saw me and wanted me, naturally, and so my breeder brought me to the UK when she was visiting Crufts. Nix says she had no idea what she was letting herself in for and if I hadn’t come all the way from France she’d have sent me straight back the next day. She said I was completely untrained, tried to kill the cat and had separation anxiety so bad I would knock her over rather than let her get to the front door. None of this is true of course.  Nix and I have lived in perfect harmony for the last eight years even though she might say different.
