Nix has Eaten Too Much Chocolate

 Quiet day today, Nix’s excuse is that my port is a bit swollen and so I should take it easy. The truth is that she decided to treat herself to a bar of chocolate with her weekly food delivery shop but seeing as how she’s never really got used to metric weights she ordered a bar as big as a house. Hasn’t stopped her from eating most of it and now she feels sick and doesn’t want to go out walking. The things I have to put up with. 



Our road is still closed and that’s because some humans moved into a house up the road that wasn’t  connected to the proper poopies disposal unit. Now there’s a very big hole in the middle of the road and no one can get through. Nix likes it because it’s very quiet and she doesn’t have to worry about the local cats getting run over. 



As there have been no proper walks and therefore no photos I suggested a few shots in the house with my snuffle mat.  Also Nix tried to have a lie in this morning and I saw her taking photos of me in the garden so I expect she’ll be including one of those.



The sticky back Velcro arrived from our friend Jane and it only took Nix about two minutes to fix the elastic on my coat. Thank you Jane, I couldn’t face watching Nix trying thread another needle and sew on any more press studs. Pity it’s going to be warm and dry and sunny though 🤣

Too Much Noisy Rain

 Last night it started to rain, a lot, and as you know I do not like it when it rains, it scares me. I don’t mind it when I’m out on my walk as you can see from my photos but I don’t like it when I’m inside. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to get off the bed and start digging. Nix was very understanding for once but she does try to get me back on the bed. In the end I gave up and got on the bed and was just drifting off when there was this really loud scary noise. Nix said it sounded like a very loud demented dalek whatever that is...it was very scary and made me and Nix really jump. Turned out to be something to do with her phone and the battery going...is it too much to ask that she keep a check on these things, nearly gave me a heart attack.  It hasn’t stopped raining all day so there are only photos of me wet. I didn’t stay wet for long, I blotted myself off on the sofa first and then Nix’s bed. She thought there were towels on it but I’d dug them all up. The best news today is

Big Boats and Little Dogs

 There was a very big boat making a lot of noise when we got to the beach this morning. Nix thought that it was very interesting, me not so much. I suppose it shows just how boring Nix’s life really is.  We went down the river this afternoon. You know how Nix has always been scared of going over the bridge over the busy road. Well now she’s decided she doesn’t like going under the busy road either. I think the lockdown thingy has finally done it’s worst. She says it’s worse coming back because she can see it in the distance and knows she’s got to go under it eventually. I like it under there, it’s really noisy and you can hear the lorries above you racing along.  I like to think I took her mind off going under the bridge by perfecting another one of my annoying habits.
